KYMCO makes a full range of quality, affordable scooters, some of which can be legally operated with NO MOTORCYCLE LICENSE REQUIRED. All of our 50cc KYMCO scooters are registered in NYS with a 'B' plate, which only requires and ordinary automobile drivers license. If you are looking for something with a bit more power and zip, KYMCO has scooters and motorcycles up to 500cc! Even better, all KYMCO scooters are backed by a two year warranty, the best in the business!

KYMCO's roots in the motorsports industry go back to its founding, in 1963, as the Kwang Yang Motor Company, Ltd., in Taiwan to manufacture original equipment parts for Honda. Long a leader in quality, fuel economy, and versatility, today KYMCO manufactures motor scooters, motorcycles, and ATVs at five plants in Asia, including the main facility in the city of Kaohsiung.

Do I need a motorcycle license?

In New York State, any two wheeled motorized vehicle that can go faster than 30mph is a motorcycle, REGARDLESS OF ENGINE SIZE. For NY residents, we have a partnership with a couple of local driving schools where you easily can get your motorcycle license on their scooter in one day. Click on the following links for details on licensing in NY,NJ and CT
