All of our 50cc KYMCO scooters are registered in NYS with a 'B' plate, which only requires and ordinary automobile drivers license. KYMCO's roots in the motorsports industry go back to its founding, in 1963, as the Kwang Yang Motor Company, Ltd., in Taiwan to manufacture original equipment parts for Honda. Do I need a motorcycle license?

In New York State, any two wheeled motorized vehicle that can go faster than 30mph is a motorcycle, REGARDLESS OF ENGINE SIZE. For NY residents, we have a partnership with a couple of local driving schools where you easily can get your motorcycle license on their scooter in one day.
