Policies
No funny business! Here's how we conduct ours:
- All service is by appointment
- Email address is required for work estimates and completion notification purposes
- Labor rate is $99 an hour
- Minimum service charge is 1/2 hour labor for diagnostic and lift time
- Vehicles dropped off for routine maintenance must be picked up the same day if notice is given before 5 pm
- McCarren Motors does not install parts or accessories that were not purchased from our Parts Department
- Vehicles left for more than 24 hours after notification for pickup will be a charged $35 per day storage fee
Service & Parts
Of course, for our Manhattan customers, we still offer the convenience of drop-off and pickup at our Soho store ($24.95 each way) or pick-up and drop off at your home address for a few dollars more! Call our service advisor Martin to schedule a time convenient for you.
Busy New Yorkers will appreciate our new ‘express lane service’ for routine maintenance and tire service. When you make an appointment, routine maintenance scheduled for drop-off at our Brooklyn location will be ready the same day, and Soho appointments will be completed by the next day.*
Even if you don’t have an appointment, you can drop off your scooter anytime we are open in Brooklyn or Soho (Manhattan fee applies) for routine maintenance or a flat tire and we will service it on a ‘first come, first served basis’!
All repairs are done on an ‘Inspect and Report’ basis. We will perform a thorough inspection and diagnosis of any issues you have and contact you with an estimate for repairs and parts availability.
WARRANTY Repairs:
Please note that warranty repairs are subject to approval from the manufacturer, which sometimes may take a few days. For faster service, customers always have the option of paying up front, and we will gladly reimburse the full amount of the repair if/when the manufacturer authorizes the repair.
*Applies to scheduled maintenance and tire replacement of in-stock tires ONLY. All vehicles will be inspected for compliance with NY Vehicle Safety Law.
*Does NOT apply to vehicles requiring repairs to pass NYS safety inspection or waiting for customer authorization for repairs. Customers can pre-authorize repairs to facilitate faster service. Please speak to your service advisor for details.
Please understand that due to parking, transportation and space constraints, we cannot receive or deliver vehicles for service on Saturday and Sunday in Soho.
